What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, sometimes called talk therapy or counselling, is a collaborative process between you and a trained therapist. It's an evidence-informed approach to mental and emotional wellness, delivered at Safe Space with warmth, compassion, and deep respect for your lived experience.

The length of therapy depends on your goals and the concerns you're working through. Some clients find meaningful progress in 6 to 12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We work at your pace and regularly check in to make sure therapy is meeting your needs.

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you'd like to get out of the process. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with — we move at whatever pace feels right for you.

No referral is needed. You can book directly through our website at any time. If you're unsure whether we're the right fit, we encourage you to use our "Find Out If We're a Good Fit" process before booking your first session.
